What does hiking mean to you? For me, hiking will always be one of the main outdoor activities and the great thing about hiking is that you can do it at any time of the year and any age, and no matter your experience, there is always a trail that will be perfect for you. Hiking can be one of your main ways of traveling, it's how you meet your friends and get to know new ones, and it's a way to get to know better yourself and the world around you. Regardless of the path you choose, for you to safely reach your final destination, you will need a comfortable backpack with smartly chosen equipment for your path and the right pair of boots that will keep you on the trail and protect your feet, boots with which you can fearlessly face any challenge fully trusting and entrusting them with you life. Good boots are much more than just boots, they are your allies, an integral part of you, and one of the main factors of a successful and fulfilled hike. I have dedicated my time to carefully researching and finding gear so that you can spend more time on your new adventure without overthinking and wasting your time finding quality gear.

Meaning of Wandelaar? Several years ago, when I was looking for a name for my brand, I typed my name and surname into an internet translator, going through all the languages, I came across the translation of Wandelaar, one of the South African languages. Looking for references to what it could mean, I came to the Dutch language, who had settled in South Africa a long time ago. Wandelaar translates to "traveler" and it perfectly describes my shop and the equipment available in it.
