"I’ve been a proud owner of Pilot boots for over three years, and here’s my take on them. The boots exhibit admirable durability and perform excellently across three seasons, but they fall short during the hot summer days. The rich, thick black leather is of superior quality, offering longevity and a sharp look. However, this high-grade material and the internal lining compromise the boots’ breathability during summer. The heat retention makes them slightly uncomfortable in hot weather conditions, making them less than ideal for summertime wear. For the rest of the year, the Pilot boots stand out as a superior choice. They stay true to their promise of comfort, sturdiness, and an appealing aesthetic. Despite the summertime setback, the Pilots are an excellent investment for conscious consumers who don’t care about wearing trending brands"

"You should get a size smaller, otherwise they’ll be loose. Initially, you may need to grease them well with seal oil or wax. Once they’re broken in, they’re super comfortable."

"The boots look just as beautiful as they do in the picture. They served me well on a long trip to Portugal where there was a lot of uphill and downhill walking. They’ve also surprisingly been effective helpers on the snowy and icy streets of Tallinn. As is the case with thick leather boots, they initially need to be worn in with double socks. I usually wear size 38, but this model’s 38 is slightly larger than usual. A 37.5 would have been ideal for me."
